Sometimes three magic words “made in France” may be the only reason to buy some fashionable item. The idea that the garment has absorbed the atmosphere of Paris, lavender fields, noisy avenues and the resourcefulness of French designers can encourage us to spend a fortune on it – and more often that not, its’ worth it. We got quite used to perfume and clothes by France-based companies. But it’s not that easy to find a pair of luxury eyewear that has “made in France” written on its temples.
Lafont eyewear in not only designed – it is actually created in the fashion capital of the world. And Paris is the city that Lafont designers explore in search of inspiration. This is a really interesting family-owned brand run by a father and his two sons.
This summer the company suggests buying eyewear pieces from Rendez-vous collection.

The most spectacular glasses of this range are probably Long Beach model. There are four colors available, but the one featured in the campaign is the most saturated. By the way, how would you call this color? Fuchsia? Well, not exactly. This is the color of wine harvest. You definitely feel France in this piece. Actually when the collection was presented, the launch was combined with a wine-tasting event.

If you want to accentuate the color you can opt for another model – Lin. This one features a sleek design with very discreet detailing and won’t take the attention off the color. Lin design comes in two guises: as eyeglasses and as shades.
Meanwhile the company is working on fall / winter Rendez-vous collection. The video of the collection is already available and it’s just breath-taking. Anticipation, excitement – all these emotions plus new eyewear designs and thoroughly chosen accessories – that is what the Rendez-vous campaign is all about.
